Pair arrested in East Kilbride abduction case
Two men have been arrested in connection with an alleged abduction and serious assault.
The arrests follow a report of a 34-year-old man being assaulted by a masked gang and forced into a car in an attack in East Kilbride in November.
Police said the alleged victim was targeted in Stewartfield Grove at around 11pm on November 24, chased and forced into a car.
He was then driven more than 20 miles to the Brownrigg Road area of Slamannan, Falkirk, where he was released.
He was taken to hospital and treated for injuries to his head, hands and feet.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Two men, aged 26 and 21, are the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal in connection with the incident."
They are expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
