Outlander actor, Gregory Odjig, faces rape trial at Glasgow High Court
The 45 year old is said to have carried out the sex attack on Bath Street
An actor from the hit tv-series Outlander is facing trial in a Glasgow court, charged with raping a woman.
Canadian-born Gregory Odjig is said to have carried out the sex attack at the Premier Suites Plus serviced apartments in Glasgow's Bath Street on May 16 2021.
Prosecutors claim the woman was intoxicated and asleep or unconscious resulting in her being unable to consent.
The 45-year-old also faces a separate assault charge of punching her on the head to her injury.
The case called for a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow today, but Odjig was not at the hearing as he currently lives in Canada.
Odjig's KC Ronnie Renucci said: "He pleads not guilty in respect of the charges on the indictment."
The trial is set to take place in June 2024.
A further hearing will take place before then later this year, and Odjig remains on bail meantime.
Odjig appeared in three episodes in series four of Outlander as the tribesman character Satehoronies.
His other acting credits includes TV's Warehouse 13 and the Fargo series as well stints on film and stage.
He is also a professional wrestler.
