Officers are looking for a missing teenager from Hamilton.

Seventeen-year-old Oran O'Neill has not been seen since yesterday afternoon and he is sometimes known to travel to the city centre of Glasgow.

He is described as 5ft9, with a skinny build and has short brown hair.

He was wearing a black Nike top, black jogging bottoms and black trainers when last seen.

Speaking exclusively to Clyde 1, his sister Orlagh said: "Oran is very easily influenced by whoever he is around and he is quite naive.

"He also has dyslexia and finds it difficult to read which is why this is so worrying."

Oran regularly visits Hamilton Palace Grounds and the main streets of Glasgow such as Buchanan Street and Argyle Street.

Orlagh added: "We have a suspicion he might be on a train or has been on one recently.

"Oran, if you are reading this, please just come home.

"We all love you lots and just want you back safe as soon as possible."

Anyone with information is being asked to contact 101, quoting reference 3547 of 6 November.
