Police want to speak to two people in connection with the incident in the early hours of this morning.
Officers are investigating an attempted murder in Clydebank in the early hours of this morning.
It happened around 1.05am at a property on The Crescent and a 42-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
Officers are keen to speak to two people in connection with the incident.
One is described as a man, around 6ft tall, with short, black hair. He was wearing a three-quarter length camouflage jacket, a black jumper, black trousers and grey trainers.
The other is described as a woman, around 5ft tall, with blonde hair. She was wearing a black jacket, a pink t-shirt, grey tracksuit bottoms and black shoes.
Detective Constable Eva Logan said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything to contact us.
“We are also appealing to anyone who may have private CCTV of the area at the time to come forward.”
