Two police officers are being treated in hospital for minor injuries following an incident in Govan this morning.

Two police officers are being treated in hospital for minor injuries following an incident in Govan this morning.

They were trying to trace a van, which failed to stopped, and tactical measures were used to bring it to a halt at Pacific Quay.

Inquires into the incident are on-going and the driver was arrested.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 10.10am on Monday 30th September officers were carring out an on-going inquiry to trace a van in the Govan area.

"It was located in the Harmony Row area, however it failed to stop.

"The van was brought to a halt using police tactical measures in the Pacific Quay area and the driver was arrested.

"Two police officers have been taken to hospital with minor injuries and inquires into the circumstances surrounding the incident are on-going."
