OAP Robbed In Her Govan Home

Police Scotland is appealing for information after an elderly woman was robbed in her home in the Govan area of Glasgow.

The 76 year old was targeted on Sunday the 5th July when a man approached her property on Mair Street at around 1800 hrs and managed to gain access.

The pensioner eventually asked him to leave and later discovered that a large amount of cash was missing from her home.

The man is described as in his late 40s with fair hair and was wearing dark trousers and a dark Parka-style jacket.

Detective Constable Lisa MacGregor said: “This man has preyed on a vulnerable elderly woman to get into her home and has managed to leave with a large quantity of money.

“The victim is understandably extremely distressed after what happened and I would urge people in the local area to cast their minds back to Sunday evening.

“If you saw anyone matching this description or anything suspicious please contact police immediately on 101.
