'There's nothing you wouldn't miss': Tributes to Strathaven crash pair
Daryl Hunter and Nairn Steele were killed when their car hit a lorry yesterday.
Tributes have been pouring in for two young men killed in a car crash in South Lanarkshire yesterday.
Daryl Hunter and Nairn Steele, both 23 and from Larkhall, were travelling in a Volkswagen Golf on the A723 near Strathaven when they hit a lorry.
It happened near Muirhall Farm at about 2.55pm.
The 26-year-old driver of that vehicle wasn't hurt but Daryl and Nairn were pronounced dead at the scene.
Shocked friends have taken to social media, saying Daryl was always smiling and a great guy.
Friend of Daryl’s, Billy Kirkland told Clyde News; “Everyone will miss his energy, his laugh, his banter. There’s nothing you wouldn’t miss. He was such a big character in the town, I just cannot believe it.”
You can listen to Billy paying tribute here:
Sergeant Craig McDonald, of the divisional road policing unit at Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact him by calling 101.
