Mystery of black lab found at train station.
Hope is being cared for the SSPCA after she was found at Hillington West train station in Glasgow
The Scottish SPCA is appealing for information after a dog was found at a train station in Glasgow.
A member of the public spotted the black Labrador cross on the platform at Hillington West on Friday the 22nd April and took her to Glasgow Central station via train, where she was then handed into British Transport Police.
The dog is now in the care of the Scottish SPCA’s Glasgow Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Cardonald, where she has been named Hope.
Centre manager Anna O’Donnell said, “The woman who handed Hope in was concerned and didn’t want to leave her alone on the platform.
“We believe Hope may have had pups recently and she is quite distinctive as she has a bald patch over the bridge of her nose.
“Hope is a very friendly girl with a lovely nature and she is doing well in our care.
“At this stage we don’t know how Hope came to be at the train station and we are appealing to anyone with information to contact us.”
Anyone with information is being urged to contact the Scottish SPCA animal helpline on 03000 999 999.
