We must condemn extremism says Islamic commentator after Asad Shah case
Mohammed Shafiq talks about combating extremism in the wake of the religiously motivated murder in Glasgow.
As Tanveer Ahmed is sentenced to life behind bars for the religious killing of popular shopkeeper Asad Shah, Clyde News is talking to one of the most respected commentators on Islamic affairs in the UK.
Mohammed Shafiq, Chief Executive of the Ramadhan Foundation, a Muslim organisation, condemned the murder.
He says there is no room for violence in the 21st Century.
Despite Asad Shah being an Ahmadiyya muslim, who differ in views from orthodox muslims, these views should be respected and valued.
