Murder investigation after death of young Glasgow woman

A murder investigation’s been launched following the death of a woman in Glasgow.

23 year old Brodie MacGregor was pronounced dead by emergency services called to Elmvale Street around 10.15am on Monday, 26 August, 2024 .

Detectives say they answer could lie in the community – they have now set up an online portal to encourage members of the public to submit information:

Detectives are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the area between 4.30am and 10.30am on Monday, 26 August, and saw anything suspicious.

Detective Chief Inspector Lynsey Watters said: “Our thoughts remain with Brodie’s family and friends at this very difficult time.

“We are providing them with support as our investigation continues to establish the full circumstances of what happened.

“We would again urge anyone who may have any information to get in touch. Any information, no matter how small, could be vital in establishing what happened to Brodie.

“A police presence remains in the Springburn area as our enquiries continue and I would encourage anyone with information or concerns to speak with these officers.”
