Man treated for stab wounds after murder attempt in Glasgow

A man is in hospital after being stabbed in an attack police are treating as attempted murder. The 46 year-old was assaulted by two men in the common close of a block of flats at Riverview Place, in the Tradeston area of Glasgow, on Wednesday night.
The victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with stab wounds. Staff say he is in a serious condition.
Police Scotland, who were called to the flats at around 10pm, said they are carrying out extensive enquiries and treating the incident as a murder bid.
Detective Inspector Lynsey Watters said: The two men responsible for this violent attack must be traced as soon as possible.
Officers are currently carrying out inquiries at the scene, speaking to people in the local area, and gathering CCTV footage to find out more information on the circumstances surrounding this incident and find the two men responsible.
One of the men was wearing a black top or jacket with a green hat.''
Police have appealed for people to contact them if they witnessed the incident or saw two men acting suspiciously around the time of the attack.
