Son of Rutherglen MSP found dead in Amsterdam

He was found dead in a hostel on Spuistraat in Amsterdam on Saturday morning. The police are investigating the cause of his death.

Rutherglen MSP Clare Haughey's 20-year old son Charlie has died while on holiday with friends in Amsterdam.

He was found dead in a hostel on Spuistraat in Amsterdam on Saturday morning. The police are investigating the cause of his death.

Emergency services responded to the hostel at around 11:00 a.m. after a report of man being unwell but when they arrived, he had already died.

His brother Sean posted on social media the whole family is all "devastated at the loss".
