The collision between the bike and an Alfa Romeo car happened on the A82 north of Tyndrum at around 11.30am.
The 47-year-old man riding the motorcycle was killed, while a passenger in the car suffered serious injuries.
Police Sergeant Roddy MacMillan, of trunk road policing in Stirling, said: This is the second such collision in recent weeks involving a motorcycle.
We will continue to carry out high-visibility patrols and enforcement activity in the area to deter further incidents.''
Police closed the road while they carried out their investigations.
