A motorcyclist has died in a crash near Loch Lomond.

A motorcyclist has died in a crash near Loch Lomond.

The biker was involved in a collision with a car on the A82 north of Luss, Argyll and Bute, on Thursday.

The accident happened at around 12.15pm and the emergency services pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Two men, aged 31 and 32, who were passengers in the car are being treated for injuries at Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. No-one else was injured.

The road has been closed for police officers to investigate the crash.

Constable Hugh Niccolls said: "There were other cars driving on the A82 around the time of this incident and it is important we speak to anyone who witnessed the crash, or has information that will assist our investigation.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at the road policing unit based at Dumbarton through 101.''
