Man taken to hospital after motorbike crash

A man's been taken to hospital after a crash on the A78 near Kilwinning.

The incident happened around 9.10pm last night and involved a black Honda CBF125 motorbike which was travelling northbound.

The 26-year-old rider was taken to Crosshouse Hospital with a serious injury.

Sergeant Gordon Stewart, of Ayrshire Road Policing Unit, said: “our enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.

“I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened to get in touch. Also anyone with relevant dash-cam footage is asked to contact police.

“Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident number 3577 of 22 February, 2023.”
