More than £82000 of illegal drugs seized in Paisley

Four people were arrested in a seven day policing plan.

Officers have seized more than £82,000 worth of illegal drugs in Paisley and arrested four men as part of a seven day proactive policing plan.

On Friday, 14 November, they went to a property on Caledonia Street and discovered a cannabis cultivation with a street value of £15,000.

A 41-year-old man was arrested and charged, and appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, 17 November, 2025.

On Tuesday, 18 November, officers stopped a moped being driven on Maxwellton Road.

Following a search, cocaine with an estimated street value of £2,200 was recovered.

A 35-year-old man was arrested and charged, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

On Wednesday, 19 November, on George Street in Paisley officers stopped a van and heroin valued at £15,000 was recovered.

A 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged, and is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Thursday, 18 December, 2025.

And finally, on Thursday 20, November, officers attended an address in Glasgow Road and found a cannabis cultivation with a street value of £50,000.

A 40-year-old man was arrested and charged and is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Friday, 21 November, 2025.

Inspector Lorna McLaren said: "This was a fantastic result for Paisley police over one week, removing £82,200 of drugs from the town.

"These recoveries mean fewer drugs on our streets, fewer vulnerable people being exploited and more opportunities to disrupt organised crime.
