Fire crews are still at the scene of a dramatic fire in the Gorbals in Glasgow this morning.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service crews spent the night battling a "well-developed fire" in a derelict building in Carlton Place, which was the former Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice until 2018.

The service sent nine appliances to tackle the fire, and confirmed at around 10.40pm that crews were still present.

A spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 8.04pm on on 5 August to reports of a building fire in Carlton Place in Glasgow.

"At its height, we mobilised seven fire appliances and two high-reach vehicles and firefighters are still working to tackle the well-developed fire on the derelict.

As of 6am two appliances remained at the scene.
