An exhibition showcasing plans for a new heritage centre at the Rest and Be Thankful in Argyll goes on display.

The expo will feature a specially commissioned scale model of the proposed building, architectural drawings and a ‘fly through’ clip.

Former British Touring Car Champion John Cleland will open it in Helensburgh.

It is hoped the multi-purpose building will celebrate Scotland's motorsport heritage and will be a major economic and tourist asset to the area.

The Rest and be Thankful was an internationally known motorsport venue for many years and former Scottish champions raced there early in their careers.

One of these was Sir Jackie Stewart who has given his backing to the project.

The building’s designers are the award winning architectural design practice KennedyTwaddle.
