Police investigating the disappearance of Cambuslang teenager Kai Rae say he travelled to London.

The 16-year-old was last seen at his home in Halfway last Monday.

Officers say he was spotted on CCTV getting on a train down south the same day.

Inspector Stephen McManus said: "Following extensive CCTV enquiries, we have established that Kai boarded a train to the London area on Monday, 23 November, and we are working with British Transport Police and the Metropolitan Police as part of our enquiries to trace him."

The family of the missing teenager told Clyde News last week his disappearance is completely out of character for him.

Police and people in the community have been searching the Cambuslang area for the 16-year old since last Monday.

He is described as white, 5ft 6in tall, slim build with short brown hair. It is believed he was wearing dark blue jogging bottoms and a dark blue/black zipped hoodie at the time he went missing.
