Missing teenager found
Abbey has been found safe say police
A teenager from Ayrshire who went missing on Sunday has been found safe and well.
Abbey Lewis, 16, had last been seen at around 11.15pm on Sunday in Dockhead Street in Saltcoats, heading towards the railway station.
She was reported missing to police on Monday.
Late on Tuesday evening officers confirmed she has been found "safe and well'' by police.
A police statement said: "Her family are aware.
"Members of the public and the media are thanked for their assistance during this inquiry.''
It was initially thought the teenager may have travelled to Birmingham.
