Missing pensioner found safe and well

A pensioner with dementia who went missing three days ago has been found.

Charles O'Neill, who is also known as Stewart, left his home in Knightswood, Glasgow, at around midday on Tuesday.

The 69-year-old was sighted on Wednesday near to the Shell Garage of the A82 at Drumchapel where he was walking westbound.

A massive search was launched in Drumchapel, Clydebank and Dumbarton to trace Mr O'Neill.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Charles O'Neill has been found. He is safe and well and his family have been made aware."
