Airdrie woman found after being missing for more than 24-hours

UPDATE 13:05 Police Scotland has confirmed Margaret has been found.

The search for a missing woman, Margaret O'Reilly, in Airdrie is going into a second day after she vanished at breakfast time.

The 58-year-old was last seen around 6.30am on Monday, 12 February 2024 in Scotts Place.

Police issued a photograph and a description which says she is around 5ft. 8 inches in height, with a slim build.

She has long, blond hair and wears glasses. It is unknown what she is wearing but she tends to wear blue jeans.

Sergeant Alister Thom said: “This is very out of character for Margaret, she maintains contact with her family and they are understandably very concerned about her. I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Margaret or who has any information as to her whereabouts to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2769 of Monday, 12 February, 2024.
