Growing concern for missing Kilsyth man one week after going missing
46-year-old Alexander McMillian was last spotted on CCTV around midnight on Monday April 25th
Officers have been out speaking to locals in Kilsyth, a week on from when 46-year-old Alexander McMillan was last seen.
He was last spotted on CCTV around midnight on Monday, 25th April, on Manse Road near to Howe Road, Kilsyth.
Six pedestrians and 52 cars were stopped in the Manse Road area between Monday and Tuesday this week, in the hope that it would jog people’s memories.
At that time he was wearing a navy hooded jumper, a baseball cap, grey trousers or jogging bottoms and dark coloured Adidas Gazelle trainers.
Officers say he was carrying two rucksacks - one white and grey with a ‘Timberland' logo, and the other blue/white/grey striped.
He was also carrying a fishing rod in a carry case.
Inspector Susan Rae of Cumbernauld Police Station said:
“It has now been a week since Alexander was last seen and since then he has not made any contact with family or friends. As time passes we are becoming increasingly concerned for his wellbeing and safety.
“Since Alexander was reported missing, extensive searches and enquiries have been carried out throughout the Kilsyth area. These searches are ongoing and we continue to appeal to the public to assist with our enquiries.
“I would urge anyone who has seen Alexander since Tuesday, 26 April, or who has any information that may be relevant to our investigation to contact us as soon as possible.”
Anyone with any information should contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 1579 of Wednesday, 27 April.
