Family of missing Evan Reid informed as body found in White Cart Water
The body of a man was found in the White Cart Water near Arran Avenue in Paisley.
The family of missing Irvine man Evan Reid have been informed by police that a body has been found this morning.
The body of a man was found in the White Cart Water near Arran Avenue in Paisley around 9.55am on Monday, 10 April.
Formal identification is yet to take place, but the family of missing Evan Reid have been told.
Evan Reid had been missing since Saturday 25 March, when he got off a train in Paisley while on his way back home to Irvine.
The 31-year-old’s family have been searching for him and sending appeals out to the public since Sunday 26 March.
CCTV footage of the Irvine man showed him getting off a train in Paisley Gilmour Street, and then his last sighting was on CCTV around 10:06pm in the Inchinnan road area of Paisley
Police say there are no apparent suspicious circumstances, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
