UPDATE: Late on Wednesday evening Police Scotland confirmed Edward had been found safe and well.

People living in the east of Glasgow are being urged to report sightings of a pensioner, Edward O'Neill, who's missing from his home.

The 72-year-old was last seen around 1.10pm on Tuesday 11th July, entering Glasgow Central Station from the Gordon Street entrance.

Edward is described as being around 5ft 6ins, bald and of slim build.

He has a Glasgow Celtic badge tattoo on one of his arms, and believed to be wearing dark coloured jeans and a black jacket with a hood.

Sergeant Dean Shankie said: “Concerns are growing for Edward’s welfare and we are keen to find him to make sure he is safe and well.

“We are asking anyone who was at Glasgow Central Station yesterday around lunchtime to think back and let us know if they may have seen Edward.

“If you know where he might be or have seen him elsewhere then please also get in touch.”

Anyone who can help should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 2904 of Tuesday, 11 July, 2023.
