Two Glasgow men to stand trial accused of carjacking crimes

Two men appeared in the dock at the High Court in Glasgow accused of two carjackings and an attempted carjacking.
Brian Kelly, 44, and Ross McLaughlin, 31, both of Glasgow are accused of brandishing a knife at Donald Wilson and robbing him of his car in Novar Drive, Hyndland, Glasgow, on April 2, last year.
They are also charged with robbing 37-year-old Heather Irving of her car at Murrayfield , Bishopbriggs, on April 4, 2018, and attempting to rob 57-year-old Rachel Hamilton of her car in the Asda car park in Kirkintilloch Road, Bishopbriggs the same day.
Both men denied the charges against them and judge Lady Stacey set trial for September. It is expected to last five days. Kelly has lodged a special defence of alibi.
