Two men treated for stab wounds after Glasgow city centre attack

Two men are being treated in hospital for stab wounds after they were assaulted in Glasgow in the early hours of this morning. The pair, who are both 31, were walking on Pitt Street near Bath Street at 3am when they were attacked by a gang of men.

Police and ambulance attended and the two men were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where they are being treated for stab wounds. Hospital staff describe their conditions as stable.

Detective Constable Andrew Barbour said today: “Officers are continuing enquiries to establish more details on this incident and to trace the males responsible, this includes studying CCTV footage from the local area.

“At this time I would ask anyone who was in the area of Pitt Street around the time of the incident, who either witnessed this attack take place, or who has any information on the men responsible to come forward to police.
