Three men charged in connection with spate of cash box robberies in Glasgow

Several G4S trucks were targeted over the weekend

Three men have been arrested and charged in connection with two robberies and an attempted robbery in and around Glasgow.

The incidents all involved G4S vehicles, and took place on Friday 3rd January.

Police Scotland have confirmed three men, aged 24, 26 and 28 have been charged.

They have also been charged in connection with conspiracy to rob in connection with a further incident in Glasgow city centre on Saturday, 4 January.

Reports have been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and all three men are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 6 January.

Detective Inspector Clark Hill of Glasgow CID said: “We are grateful for the support we have received from the public in relation to this investigation.

“Further enquiries are ongoing into these incidents and anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police is asked to come forward as soon as possible."
