Two men have been charged following a multi-agency rescue at the Devil's Pulpit in Stirlingshire earlier this week.

The 24 and 25 year old were helped to safety after becoming stuck at Finnich Glen on Wednesday afternoon.

Police Scotland, the Scottish Ambulance Service, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Lomond Mountain Rescue Team were all involved.

The men - who were uninjured - have since been charged with culpable and reckless conduct.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of two men who had become trapped at Finnich Glen near Killearn around 3.30pm on Wednesday, 28 April.

"A number of agencies attended including police, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Scottish Ambulance Service and the Lomond Mountain Rescue Team.

"The men were subsequently helped to safety to the mountain rescue team and checked at the scene by the ambulance service. They were uninjured.

"Both men, aged 25 and 24, have been charged with culpable and reckless conduct in connection with the incident. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
