A Glasgow singer has gone viral for belting out an 80s hit - all while eating a packet of crisps.

May Miller was performing 'The Whole of the Moon' at the Waterloo Bar at the weekend with her husband Robert.

A clip of the duo has since been watched millions of times around the world after being shared on Tik Tok.

Speaking exclusively to Ewen & Cat At Breakfast on Greatest Hits Radio - May said that eating a snack isn't out of the ordinary for her at the venue.

She explained a fan, who had travelled from England to see her, had brought her a bunch of flowers - and the packet of Wotsits.

She said: "I got fed up eating fish suppers, so I thought, I'd go to the Wotsits.

"It happens all the time in the Waterloo - see the guy that's dancing in front of me? That's Gordon, who comes up from England to see us maybe two or three times a year.

"He always brings a beautiful big bunch of flowers, and a packet of Wotsits - which is why I was eating them on Saturday.

"I'm feart to open the outside door in case there are hundreds of boxes of Wotsits sitting there."

She said she was unaware about the viral video until Sunday morning.

"The phone had been ringing off the hook and I thought someone had died.

"My son phoned me and told me he had friends in Spain and Canada who'd seen the video, he said, 'you're famous!'

"I've been doing it all these years, and you go viral for eating a packet of crisps...if Gordon had given me a steak pie I'd have eaten that."
