Masked thieves threaten woman after breaking into Glasgow home

The incident took place in Hogganfield around at 6pm on Friday

A woman has been left “extremely shaken” after three masked robbers broke into her home in Glasgow.

The thieves raided the 42-year-old’s house on Parkview Gate, Hogganfield, at 6.15pm on Friday.

They threatened the woman before making off with cash and jewellery.

Police believe the group made off on foot through Riddrie Park Cemetery.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen men walking or running in the area around the time of the raid.

All three suspects are described as white European, mid 20s to 30s and wearing dark clothing with their faces covered.

Detective sergeant Neil Guy said: “The woman was uninjured but was left extremely shaken by the experience.

“We are appealing for witnesses, especially those living near to the cemetery, whom may have seen three men at the times in question walking or running through the cemetery including if any suspicious vehicles were seen in the nearby area.

“We are continuing with extensive CCTV and door to door enquires and there will be additional patrols in the area.”
