Masked Pair Attack Man In Own Home
Police are hunting two masked men who forced their way into a man's home where they assaulted and robbed him.
The pair stole money and the man's bank cards, which they then used to withdraw a three-figure sum of cash from his account at an ATM.
The robbers forced their way into the man's home in Johnston Crescent, Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire, at around 2am on Tuesday.
They assaulted the 58-year-old victim and restrained him, then stole a small sum of cash along with his cards and some other items.
The pair obtained the man's Pin number and went to an ATM on the town's High Street to withdraw the cash.
Police have appealed for information about the incident. Detective Inspector Michael Lynch said: "Fortunately, the victim was not seriously injured during this incident, but was left understandably shaken.
"I would urge anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in Johnston Crescent, or the High Street area, in the early hours of Tuesday morning to contact police immediately.
"In addition, anyone who can help us identify the suspects should also get in touch.''
Both suspects are described as white and were wearing dark clothing, with balaclavas or similar garments covering their faces. They spoke with Glasgow accents.
