Former Radio Clyde presenter Mary Lee, the last surviving British dance band singer from the 1930s is celebrating her 100th birthday today (Friday).

Mary Lee, who is from Anniesland, presented a programme on Radio Clyde, which she later described as a "homely show geared to the Golden Oldies", adding that it gave her "the chance to play all the big band stuff which was enjoyed by young and old alike."

She won a Sony Award for the show in 1991.

Lee was married to Jack Milroy, half of the famous Scottish double act Francie and Josie, in which Milroy played Francie and Rikki Fulton was Josie.

In 1986 the couple recorded an interview together with Radio Clyde's Sheila Duffy.

Happy 100th Birthday Mary, from all the team at Radio Clyde!
