Man treated in hospital after daylight attack

The 31 year old was in Bowfield Avenue when three other men got out of a white car and proceeded to attack him with weapons.

A man’s required hospital treatment after a serious assault in the Penilee area of Glasgow on Saturday 24th June 2017.

Around 4.45pm, the 31 year old was in Bowfield Avenue when three other men got out of a white car and proceeded to attack him with weapons.

The men then made off from the scene and the victim was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to a leg injury. He was later released.

The men are described as being white, and one of them was wearing a white jumper.

Detective Constable Christopher McKeown from Govan CID said: “This was a brutal attack that occurred in broad daylight and it is imperative that we trace the people responsible.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident who noticed three men in a white car, or anything at all suspicious, to get in touch.
