Man taken to hospital after 'targeted' attack at Renfrew scrap metal yard
The 61-year-old was assaulted on Friday afternoon and was treated for lacerations to his upper body.
A man needed hospital treatment after a targeted attack at scrap metal yard in Renfrew.
The 61-year-old was assaulted at the premises on French Street on Friday at around 2pm.
Police Scotland said he received treatment at Queen Elizabeth Hospital for lacerations to his upper body following the “vicious” attack.
A Police spokesperson said: “It is believed that the attackers may have had access to a car and possibly made off in it.
“Officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious vehicles in the street, or indeed anyone hanging about the area prior to the attack or running off afterwards.”
