A man has been taken to hospital after reports of a person with a knife led to the closure of a train station.
Police were called to Falkirk Grahamston station at around 8.50am on Thursday.
ScotRail services through the station were subject to delay and changes while emergency services dealt with the incident, which was over by around 1.30pm.
Police said the incident had been resolved safely with no reports of any injuries.
The force added that a 21-year-old man had been taken to hospital.
Chief Inspector Damian Armstrong said: “The safety of the public and our officers, as well as the man, was at the forefront of our response.
“We thank the public for their co-operation as local and specialist officers worked to bring this to a safe and peaceful conclusion.
“I want to reassure people that this is being treated as an isolated incident and there is no ongoing risk to the local community.''
ScotRail said services were being reinstated though may still be subject to disruption.
The rail operator tweeted: “The police have dealt with the incident and have now cleared the station.
“Arrangements are now being made to reinstate services, but delays and cancellations may still be experienced."
