A man's to stand trial charged with murdering a Mr Scotland bodybuilding champion in Stevenston.
A man's to stand trial charged with murdering a Mr Scotland bodybuilding champion in Stevenston.
Steven Kirkwood is accused of killing Michael O'Hanlon in July this year.
The attack is said to have occurred at HK Autotek in the town's Moorpark Industrial Estate.
Prosecutors allege Kirkwood struggled with the 45 year-old, punched him and repeatedly struck him on the body with a knife or similar item.
Kirkwood faces separate charges of having a blade in a public place and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
His lawyer John McElroy today entered not guilty pleas on his behalf during a short hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.
Judge Lord Burns set a trial due to take place next May. The case could last up to seven days.
