Man to stand trial for alleged sex attacks on girl in prison
45 year old Andrew Ballard is alleged to have carried out offences at HMP Barlinnie
A man is to stand trial for allegedly sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl in a prison.
Andrew Ballard, 45, is charged with carrying out the offence “on various occasions between July 1, 2015 and September 3, 2015” at HMP Barlinnie.
He appeared in public for the first time when the case was called at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
Defence lawyer Lyndsey Jefferson pled not guilty on behalf of Ballard.
Sheriff Sam Cathcart continued the case until trial which is due to take place later this month.
