Man stabbed in park during afternoon attack
A man is in hospital with stab wounds after an attack in broad daylight at a Glasgow park.
The victim was in Dawsholm Park, near its entrance at Ilay Road, when attacked at around 5.30pm on Saturday.
Officers have been carrying out inquiries and found a group of young men were playing an informal game of rugby when an altercation broke out.
Police say a 39-year-old man was injured in the fight.
Detective Sergeant Murray Rolley said: We know there were various members of the public in the park around the time of the incident and I am appealing for anyone with information to contact us.
Maybe you saw the game of rugby or the group of males, playing or running off.
Any small piece of information could be vital to us as we piece together the circumstances.''
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
