The man's in a serious but stable condition after being attacked on Tuesday evening

A man is in a serious but stable condition after being stabbed in Glasgow.

The 28-year-old was walking between Glenkirk Drive and Kinfauns Drive in Drumchapel at around 6.30pm on Tuesday when he was approached from behind by another man and attacked.

He was taken by ambulance to the city's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he is being treated for stab wounds.

Police are treating the incident as attempted murder.

Detective Constable Jennifer Boyle said: Inquiries are at an early stage into this attack and we are working to establish more information, with officers carrying out inquiries in the local area and gathering CCTV footage.

This is a busy area and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information that will assist our investigation to contact officers through 101, quoting reference number 3181 of August 20.
