Man slashed in face by youths in Easterhouse

A man’s been treated in hospital for facial wounds after he was attacked in Easterhouse last night.

A man’s been treated in hospital for facial wounds after he was attacked in Easterhouse last night.

The 47 year-old was walking in Dungeonhill Road when he was approached by a group of youths, described as being dressed in dark hooded tops and grey tracksuit bottoms. Words were exchanged and the victim was punched by one of the youths and struck with a knife. The group of youths then dispersed and made off.

The victim was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated for a serious facial injury and later released.

Detective Constable Sean McLoughlin, of Shettleston CID said: “This appears to be an isolated random attack on the man which has caused serious injury. I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and either witnessed the attack, heard a commotion or saw a group of youths running off, to please get in touch.
