Man seriously ill in hospital after taking mystery pills found in Kirkintilloch

A man's seriously ill in hospital after taking mystery pills found dumped in Kirkintilloch.

Police are putting out an urgent warning after finding the man in the Merkland Recreation Centre in Hillhead last night.

They know that he'd tried some of the blue pills that they found a bag nearby - what they don't know yet is what's in them.

The pills are undergoing tests and the man is said to be a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Detectives want to know how the pills got there and are telling anyone else who might have picked some up not to take them
