Man seriously assaulted while working at King Tuts Wah Wah Hut

A 25-year old man has been seriously assaulted while working in King Tuts Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow City Centre.

The man was targeted by a man within the premises on St Vincent Street around 10.40pm on Thursday evening.

He was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated for a serious facial injury then released.

The suspect is described as around 6ft in height and of medium build with long dark hair worn in a ponytail.

Detective Constable Alistair Donaldson of City Centre Police Office said: “Officers have been carrying out enquiries into this incident and have gathered CCTV footage which we will study to gather more information and identify the man responsible for this violent and unprovoked attack.

“At this time, I would urge anyone who witnessed this incident take place within the music venue who has not yet spoken to police to please come forward as they may have information that is significant to our investigation.

"This is not the type of incident staff or any member of the public should be subjected to and I would directly appeal to the man responsible to come forward.”
