Man in serious condition following attempted murder in Paisley

Around 2025 hours on Saturday evening, a 39 year-old man was walking on Forbes Place, near to its junction with Causeyside Street in Paisley, when he was involved in an altercation with a group who then seriously assaulted him.
The injured man was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where he is being treated for head injuries. Hospital staff describe his condition as serious.
Detective Inspector Tom Carty of Paisley Police Office said:
“Enquiries are ongoing at this time to gather more information on the circumstances surrounding this incident and those responsible.
