Delivery driver robbed by man with a knife in Renfrewshire

A police investigation is under way after a delivery driver was robbed at knife point in Renfrewshire.

The 43-year-old had been carrying out deliveries on Luckinsford Avenue and Luckinsford Road in Inchinnan on Saturday, when he was approached at around 9:05pm by a man holding a knife.

The man threatened the delivery driver with the knife, before stealing a two figure sum of cash.

The delivery driver was uninjured but badly shaken as a result of the robbery.

Officers say that the man responsible was wearing a black hooded top, black trousers, gloves and a black scarf.

He was last seen heading through the footpath that leads into Umachan, Erskine.

Detective Constable Alasdair Whitelaw has urged anyone who witnessed this robbery, or who has any information that will assist in identifying the suspect to contact Paisley Police Office.
