A 76-year-old man has been reported for alleged road traffic offences after a teenager was struck by a car.

A 76-year-old man has been reported for alleged road traffic offences after a teenager was struck by a car. The 14-year-old boy suffered a broken wrist after he was hit while trying to cross Ayr Road in Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire, on January 5. The driver of the car is said to have paused for a short time before driving off. A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A 76-year-old man has been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with alleged road traffic offences.''
