A man's reappeared in court in connection with the death of a Hamilton teenager.

16 year old Amber Gibson had been reported missing before her body was discovered in the town's Cadzow Glen park in November 2021.

Stephen Corrigan appeared again at Hamilton Sheriff Court accused of attempting to defeat the ends of justice.

The 43-year-old, of Blantyre in South Lanarkshire, again made no plea when he returned to the dock at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Thursday.

The case was fully committed and Corrigan was remanded in custody meantime ahead of his next hearing, the date of which is yet to be set.

Amber's brother - 19 year old Connor Gibson - appeared in court last month charged with her murder, sexual assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

He made no plea and was also remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance.
