Man Makes Off With Three-Figure Sum In Knife-Point Robbery
Police in Kilbarchan are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at a shop on Saturday 28 February 2015.
Around 2035 hours, a man entered the Co-op store on High Barholm, Kilbarchan, and threatened members of staff with a weapon.
He then left the premises with a three-figure sum of money and headed towards the Johnstone area.
No members of staff were injured.
The suspect is described as white, in his 30s, 5ft 8 to 5ft 9, of medium build and spoke with a distinctive accent, possibly English. He was wearing a dark coloured hooded top with the hood up and dark trousers. He was also carrying a white carrier bag.
Detective Constable Grant Spy said: “We are carrying out enquiries in the local area including checking CCTV in an effort to trace the man responsible and police patrols in the area have been increased as a result.
“The weather at the time of the incident was particularly bad and anyone out walking at the time would have stood out due to this.
