Man left with serious facial injury after assault by two men in Paisley

Police are appealing for witnesses after an attack in Paisley that left a 21-year-old man seriously injured in hospital.

Officers were called to a house on Grampian Avenue at around 12.20am on Sunday to reports a man had been seriously assaulted by two men.

The victim was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where he is being treated for a cut to his face. Hospital staff describe his condition as stable.

Detective Constable Karen Smith of Paisley Police Station said: “We have been carrying out enquiries in the area of Grampian Avenue and we are gathering local CCTV footage to help us with our investigation and identify the two men responsible.

“After the attack, the two men may have left in a dark coloured car, and at this time we are working to establish if this is the case and trace any vehicle. I would ask anyone in the area, or anyone driving nearby with dash-cam footage who saw a dark-coloured car to contact us.”
