Man left 'seriously injured' after attack in Dennistoun area

A 45 year old man has been arrested after officers were called to Cumbernauld Road around 1.15pm on Friday afternoon.

A man's been left seriously injured after an attack in the Dennistoun area of Glasgow.

Officers were called out around 1.15pm on Friday afternoon and a cordon was put up on both Aberfoyle Street and Cumbernauld Road.

The 22 year old is being treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and a 45 year old man has been arrested in connection.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said:

"A 22-year-old man has been hospitalised at the with a "serious injury"

Officers have arrested a 45-year-old man in connection to the incident.

Enquiries are ongoing."
